HOURS:

Livestock and Horse Shows: Everyday starting at 9 a.m.

Demonstration and Exhibit Halls: Saturdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Weekdays from Noon to 10 p.m. and Labor Day Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Main Midway Hours: Saturdays through Sundays & Labor Day Monday from 10 a.m. to Close and Weekdays from 12Noon to Close.

Kiddie Land Rides Area Hours: Saturdays through Sundays & Labor Day Monday from 10 a.m. to Close and Weekdays from 12Noon to Close.

ADMISSION: Adult admission $8, Senior admission (62 & over) $6, Children (6 to 11) $3, Children 5 and under are admitted FREE (Rides are not included). Rides are not included. Rides are individually priced. A ticket is required for all persons aged 3 and over for concerts held in the Racetrack Infield.

NOTE! Pets are not allowed with the exception of Medical Dogs and Dogs participating in the 4-H/FFA portion of the Maryland State Fair.

RIDE TICKETS: Individual ride tickets may be purchased on the Midway at the Ride Ticket Booths (various locations throughout Midway). Tickets are $1 each and each ride uses approximately 3-6 rides tickets. Discount Ticket Sheets are also available: 50 tickets for $45.

RIDE SPECIALS:

ADVANCE DISCOUNTS - ADMISSION, RIDES & FOOD! M&T Bank PREVIEW NIGHT at MY Maryland State Fair with RIDEMANIA - Thursday, August 24, 5 PM – 11 PM, will give fairgoers a taste of the fun in store during the rest of the fair. Preview/Ridemania Night Only, fairgoers may purchase Admission & Ride Wristband for only $20 or a Walk-Around Admission for $1. NOTE: On Preview/Ridemania Night only the Midway rides, games and food stands will be open. Exhibition Halls, Livestock Barns, etc. will open Friday, August 25.

$25 UNLIMITED RIDE ALL RIDES WRISTBANDS: Only available Monday, August 28 through Thursday, August 31. And, $27 UNLIMITED RIDE ALL RIDES WRISTBAND available Labor Day Monday, September 4. Unlimited (Ride all you can Ride!) wristbands are available for purchase from 10AM to 6PM (may be used from time of purchase until close). Fair admission is NOT included. Weekend wristbands only available through Advance Ticket Discounts program.

FOOD LION $5 OFF RIDE ALL RIDES WRISTBAND COUPON: Food Lion coupon only available for Monday, August 28 through Thursday, August 31. NOT available on Labor Day, Monday, September 4. Pick up a $5 off discount coupon for an unlimited (Ride all you can Ride!) wristband, while supplies last, at participating local Food Lion stores! Present the coupon at Midway ticket booths.

LABOR DAY: Labor Day Monday, September 4, $27 unlimited (Ride all you can Ride!) wristbands are available for purchase from 10AM to 6PM (may be used from time of purchase until close). Fair admission is NOT included.

SPECIAL RIDES NOTES: All Riders (including parents riding with small children) must have either tickets or a wristband to ride. Visit www.deggeller.com, go to "Attractions" and choose a ride for more information or check out "Size Wise" (on mobile site) for individual ride height restrictions.

OTHER FAIR INFORMATION:

LIVE THOROUGHBRED HORSERACING & SIMULCASTING (ONLY DURING THE 12 DAYS OF THE MARYLAND STATE FAIR): The Maryland State Fair is home to a 5/8th mile oval track, which overlooks scenic York Road. Live simulcast racing begins, Friday, August 25 through Sunday, August 27 and Friday, September 1 through Labor Day Monday, September 4. Post time is 1PM. Special $75,000 Coalition Stakes Race on Saturday, August 26th, post time 1PM.

Grandstand Grille (located in the Racetrack Grandstand) will be open every day Thursday, August 24th through September 4th from 11AM to 8PM (Closing times subject to change without notice.).

PARKING: Limited parking is available on the Fairgrounds for $5. Free parking is available at the Park and Ride location on Deereco Road west of the Fairgrounds. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicapped parking is available. Please see the fairgrounds parkers, and they will direct you to the appropriate and closest handicapped parking area. Because convenient parking is limited, we encourage the use of the Light Rail.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Fairgoers can take LocalLink 93 with service between Towson, Lutherville Light Rail, to Hunt Valley International Circle, and boarding or alighting at the Timonium Fairground stop on Greenspring Drive. Passengers from Downtown Baltimore can use the CityLink Red located at Baltimore and Green streets to Lutherville Light Rail stop, and transfer to LocalLink 93. Travelers from the north can take Light Rail from Hunt Valley or the LocalLink 93 line, which originates at International Circle in Hunt Valley. Passengers can use LocalLink 52 from North Avenue to Macy’s Store on Dulaney Valley Road and transfer to LocalLink 93.

WHEELCHAIR RENTALS: Electric scooters, push wheelchairs, wagons, strollers and walkers, will be available at the Light Rail gate, but will be available to other gates upon request (please ask admission attendant for assistance at any other gate other then the Light Rail gate). Prices are as follows: Electric Scooter-$50 Deposit, return in 2 hours receive $20 back, return in 3 hours receive $10 back or otherwise $50 for all day usage. Wagons $20 per day. Push Wheelchairs - $20 per day. Strollers - $10 per day. Walkers - $10 per day.

HAND WASHING STATIONS: Hand washing stations are set-up throughout the fairgrounds for you and your family’s convenience. Make sure that once you and your family are finished visiting the animals that they make good use of the hand washing stations!

CAMPING: Camping is not available during the Maryland State Fair and is ONLY available throughout the year, for Vendors of Maryland State Fairground events! The fee for camping is $25 per day and the security will collect these fees each evening. There is sewer, water and electric available during the summer months, and because we winterize everything during the winter water will not be available during the winter season. Check with the security office at 410-252-0200 x230 to make sure that security will be available and that the gates will be open.

The Maryland State Fair offers two scholarships annually for students. Each scholarship is different. Please read all the requirements carefully in order to determine which scholarship may be best for you!

The Maryland State Fair offers opportunities for people of all ages to enter their most prized items, whatever they may be. There are two main areas (4-H/FFA and OPEN CLASS) in which you can participate in the Maryland State Fair.

First, you can be a 4-H or FFA member enrolled in the 4-H or FFA program. Maryland 4-H Youth Development offers Clover Programs for youth ages 5-7 and 4-H Club programs for youth ages 8-18 (Age 18 as of January 1 of the current year). 4-H is in each Maryland county and Baltimore City, as well as Europe and Korea through a partnership with the CSREES/USDA Army and Air Force. The purpose of 4-H and FFA is to teach children and youth important life skills, as well as public speaking, leadership, etc. Contact your local 4-H Offices or high shool agriculture teacher for names of clubs and leaders near you. Second, anyone and everyone can enter in the OPEN CLASS portion of the Maryland State Fair. There is the Farm & Garden Department, which is home to vegetables, fruit, farm crops, wine, honey and flowers. There is the Home Arts Department, which is home to crafts, baking, sewing, photography, etc. There is the Livestock Department, which is home to large animals such as dairy, beef, sheep, etc. Finally, there is Horses, which includes all types of horses.
