THE BALTIMORE COUNTY FARMERS MARKET BLOOMS AGAIN FOR ITS 14TH YEAR!

The Baltimore County Farmers Market is considered an essential food source by the MD Department of Agriculture and will open for the 2023 season.  We look forward to serving you!

Baltimore County farmers and producers have again come together to offer the community high-quality local in-season fruit and vegetables, pork, wine, flowers, cheese, herbs, ice cream, and more. The Baltimore County Farmers Market, conveniently located with free parking at the Maryland State Fairgrounds Main Gate, north side of the digital sign, will take place every Wednesday, June 7 – October 25, 10 AM – 1 PM.

The Baltimore County Farmers Market at the Maryland State Fairgrounds is authorized to accept Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP), WIC Fruit & Vegetable, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Stamps.

“Our market offers high-quality, fresh from the farm produce, flowers, and more,” said Baltimore County Farmers Market Manager Bill Langlotz. “A variety of fresh in-season fruit and vegetables starting with strawberries, asparagus, spinach, lettuce, spring onions and more will be available each week. Pork and eggs are just a few of the other featured local items. It makes me hungry just to talk about it” added Langlotz.

Make sure not to miss the many traditional and unusual amateur & professional farm and garden exhibits at the Maryland State Fair: August 25th – August 27th, September 1st – 4th, September 8th – 10th

During the Fair, the Baltimore County Farmers Market will open from noon to 6 PM in the Fair’s Farm & Garden building.

Crooked Creek Farm Logo

If you’ve been having a hard time finding great-tasting pork that’s raised humanely, then you are in the right place.  Crooked Creek Farm is run by Mike and Tiffany Schleupner along with some help from their two young daughters. We started this farm to raise livestock without growth enhancers/antibiotics. Our goal is to use as few inputs as possible to produce naturally grown food that is healthy and tastes great!

The farm, in Pylesville, Maryland consists of open fields, some thick woods, and open, savannah-like woodlands. Broad Creek twists and turns through the back half of the property as it makes its way to the Susquehanna River. These twists and turns are how Crooked Creek Farm got its name.
