CONCERTS:  Frequently Asked Questions for Concerts

SCHEDULE:  Full Schedule of Events!

ADMISSION: Adult admission $8, Senior admission (62 & over) $6, Children (6 to 11) $3, children under 6 are admitted FREE. A ticket is required for all persons aged 3 and over for concerts held in the Racetrack Infield.  Rides are not included. Rides are individually priced.

RIDES: Tickets may be purchased at the Midway Ride Ticket Booths. Tickets are $1.00 each and each ride uses approximately 1-6 rides tickets. RIDE DISCOUNT TICKET SHEETS are also available at ride ticket booths: 50 ride tickets for $45.  Each year there are ride specials available on different days.

RIDE SPECIALS:

ADVANCE TICKET DISCOUNTS: The 2010 Individual/Group Advance Discount Ticket Sales closed on Friday, August 20th, 2010.  Those discounts are no longer available.  For other discounts please see below. 

RIDEMANIA: Ridemania night is Thursday, August 26th and starts at 5PM.  Ride all night for just $15.  This year there will also be a walk around pass for those individuals who are not riding any rides. The walk around pass will be $4.  NO BULIDINGS WILL BE OPEN, just the Midway and rides.

WRISTBANDS: Ride Wristbands, for $20, will be available on Friday, August 27th, Monday, August 30th through Thursday, September 2nd and Monday, September 6th (sold only from 12 noon to 6PM).  Ride wristbands can be purchased at the midway ride ticket booths.

FOOD LION RIDE COUPON:  $5 off coupon on wristbands, will be available, while supplies last, at participating Food Lion stores.  Please call Food Lion ahead of time to check coupon availability.  NOTE:  Food Lion Ride Coupon will ONLY be available for use on Friday, August 27th, Monday, August 30th through Thursday, September 2nd and Monday, September 6th  (ride wristbands sold only from 12 noon to 6PM at Midway Ride Ticket Booths except for Labor Day Monday, when they will be sold all day).  Food Lion coupons are NOT valid on Labor Day.

LABOR DAY RIDE SPECIAL:  The Labor Day Ride Special is for Monda, September 6th ONLY.  Fairgoers pay $20 for a ride wristband, to ride an unlimited number of rides from 10AM to 10PM on Labor Day.  Fair admission is not included.

HOURS:
Livestock and Horse Shows: Open 9am to 10 pm
Demonstration and Exhibit Halls:
Monday through Thursday - Open 12noon to 10 pm
Friday through Sunday & Monday, September 6th - Open 10am to 10pm 
Midway Hours: Open 10 am (weekends & Monday, September 6th) / Open 12 noon (weekdays)

PARKING: Limited parking is available on the Fairgrounds for $3. Free parking is available at the Park and Ride location on Deereco Road west of the Fairgrounds. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicapped parking is available. Please see the fairgrounds parkers, and they will direct you to the appropriate and closest handicapped parking area. Because convenient parking is limited, we encourage the use of the Light Rail.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: The Timonium Light Rail Stop is located a short walk from the entrance to the Fairgrounds near the Cow Palace. The MTA No. 9 bus line also serves the Timonium Park and Ride/Light Rail Stop. Because convenient parking is limited, use of the Light Rail or the No. 9 bus line is encouraged. WHEELCHAIR RENTALS: Wheelchair rentals as well as scooter and stroller rentals are available each year at the main entrance at York Road and at the Light Rail entrance.

HAND WASHING STATIONS: Hand washing stations are set-up throughout the fairgrounds for you and your family’s convenience. Make sure that once you and your family are finished visiting the animals that they make good use of the hand washing stations!

CAMPING: Camping is not available during the Maryland State Fair, but is available throughout the year. The fee for camping is $15 per day and the security will collect these fees each evening. There is sewer, water and electric available during the summer months, and because we winterize everything during the winter water will not be available during the winter season. Check with the security office at 410-252-0200 x230 to make sure that security will be available and that the gates will be open.
